Dr. Patricia Fitzgerald

Dr. Patricia Fitzgerald, Director and Founder

Patricia Fitzgerald, D.A.O.M., D.H.M., L.Ac., C.C.N. founded the Santa Monica Wellness Center in 1995 after being in private practice for several years. She has a Doctorate Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. She is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, as well as a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. Dr. Fitzgerald graduated with honors from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Fitzgerald is a professional member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the California State Oriental Medical Association, and the National Qigong Association. She serves on the Professional Advisory Council of the American Holistic Veterinary Association Foundation, on the Medical and Scientific Advisory Board of Documenting Hope, and on the advisory board of Creature Kind, an animal rescue organization. She has served on the faculty of Yo San University as well as serving as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine for five years and currently serves on the Advisory Board. Dr. Fitzgerald is a certified dog trainer and has volunteered her services with Los Angeles Animal Services for over 12 years and is dedicated to supporting the animal rescue community in matching homeless pets with loving hearts and homes. She is also a member of Women Helping Youth, a women’s giving circle committed to improving the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of children and young adults in need in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Passionate and interested in integrative health since she was a teenager, Dr. Fitzgerald has attended countless seminars and workshops, and is often a featured speaker. Dr. Jeffrey Bland, father of Functional Medicine, named Dr. Fitzgerald a Thought Leader, and she was the initial presenter at the inaugural Thought Leaders Consortium at the Personalized Medicine Institute. Dr. Fitzgerald enjoys sharing practices to support abundant health and wellness through her classes and workshops.
